Hannah Gapes
The Mikro Foundation proudly supports Hannah to represent New Zealand on the world stage. And the Rotorua runner has already made her mark by winning medals for her country.
During a campaign in Australia, she achieved podium finishes across three events, including the Oceania Championships in Mackay.
While the Australian heat proved challenging for many in the New Zealand contingent, Hannah embraced the opportunity. “I gained a lot of experience, and it was a great chance to race alongside Australia’s top middle-distance runners.”
Competing across three meets, Hannah secured second place in the Women’s 3000m at the Gold Coast Invitational, won the 1500m at the Mackay Pre-Oceanias competition, and finished second in the Under-20 Women’s 3000m at the Oceania Championships.
These performances were made even more special as it marked Hannah’s first time competing in the New Zealand Athletics uniform. “It was a huge privilege to represent New Zealand on the international stage,” she said.
Since then, Hannah has continued to build on her success, setting a new personal best in the 3000m and preparing for the next stage of her athletics journey. Mikro Foundation is proud to support Hannah as she continues to chase her goals.
